Raven looks wounded.

"I had thought it was entertaining. I am mistaken?"

*Watch Adam's furrow.*

Not especially, no.

[creator_raven]

"Well, then."

Raven looks very smug.

Then he flicks a cookie at the Jesus-figure.

Surprise!

*Jesus-figures don't much care for cookies. It's a little known secret. He takes the cookie and nibbles it, before making a face.*

Raven wrinkles his nose.

[last_adam]

Would you like some Jesus cookies, instead?

*Adam pulls out a plate of very bland looking white cookies.*

[creator_raven]

Raven stares at them.

Then Raven stares at the Jesus-figure.

"You are not actually trying to kill me, are you? Only I think perhaps it is difficult to tell."

[last_adam]

I wouldn't ever try to kill you. It would make me feel so guilty now, and when I was no longer Jesus, it would just suck.

[creator_raven]

Raven snorts.

"I will consider myself comforted, then."

He still does not take the cookies.

[last_adam]

*Adam does take one of his own cookies, but wrinkles his nose at them as well.*

How much fun can this guy have, really?

[creator_raven]

Raven just looks at him.

"I do not think he is entirely made for fun, no."

[last_adam]

What is he made for, then? Other than comfy clothes.

[creator_raven]

"You know the story better than I, perhaps."

He blinks.

"I have little patience for martyrs."

[last_adam]

He didn't intend to be one.

[creator_raven]

Raven just looks at him.

"He did not, no."

This, right here, might explain why Raven is a little less than fond of certain deities.

*Adam wouldn't really disagree with him, for the most part.*

So then your issue would be not with the martyr himself.

[creator_raven]

"No. I liked him, as I recall. Or his work. It was almost the same thing, I think."

Raven shrugs.

[last_adam]

Oh?

*Is that Adam, interested in something?*

[creator_raven]

Raven nods, once.

"Yes. He was good at making choices, perhaps, even when there were none. Not really. It is a thing to be admired."

[last_adam]

*He's biting his lip now.*

Oh.

[creator_raven]

"It is an odd type of bravery, that. And it is not always instinctive."

Raven is watching him, now.

[last_adam]

Do you think it was with him?

[creator_raven]

Raven considers for a very long time.

"I am tempted to think no, perhaps. He was never one for shortcuts. So."

[last_adam]

Maybe it's something that can be learned.

*He sounds almost... hopeful.*

[creator_raven]

"Very likely, that."

He grins.

"It is a thing I think I have managed, after all."
