The Ordinary Princess is in the bar, watching Mr. Pemberthy and Simon Perryvall chase each other up and down and over and across her table. She occasionally moves her tea out of their paths, but doesn't try to stop them. It would, after all, be kind of hopeless.

Come say hello?

((OOM: September 1, 1939, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Warning for implied sex.))

Elizabeth Imbrie comes into the bar, clearly in a very good mood, and with the sort of smile that only cats with feathers in their teeth have. She goes straight to Bar and asks for a cheese sandwich and a glass of champagne, dropping one of Arithon's coins into the surface.

She gets the champagne (Pommery 1928) and the cheese sandwich (Cheddar on white) along with a copy of the New York Times for today.

"No, thanks. Mike'll get it at the office." But it doesn't go away, so she folds it up and leaves it on the bar in front of her.

It's still there. You can read the headline from a few feet away. It's pretty big.

Liz gets the shit scared out of her, by Peter Pevensie and Dr. Who. Thanks, guys!

Alain is sitting on the usual couch, coffee in hand. He's reading a new book, a collection of philosophical essays written in the Great Letters of Mid-World. Alain doesn't agree with the author on much, but mentally picking apart his arguments is a reasonable distraction way to spend an evening.

Nita's outside, running around the lake. Because when you're running, you don't have to be thinking.

Eventually, though, she'll have to stop. Feel free to catch her.

[OOC: Millitimed to last (Thursday) night, Mel and Lilly's suitwarming is stil in progress and will be open all weekend. Feel free to assume it lasted all night and day: if your pups were busy last night (*cough*ANTAR*cough*), then they can happily turn up in the wee hours.)

Lilly said he should meet people, and so he is determined to do so.

After a nice fortifying cup of tea.

Perhaps two.

*Having talked to both Peter Pevensie and Lilly today, Meg has come up with a Plan. A Genius Plan.

- well, she thinks it is a Genius Plan, anyways.

Sidling up to the bar, Meg quietly requisitions a highly squashy tomato, then sidles back over to where an oblivious Peter is sitting, takes aim -

and throws the tomato straight at Lilly, before diving behind Peter's table.*

Lilly wanders downstairs, carrying a notebook and pen. She absentmindedly gets a coffee from the bar and sits down in a booth without really looking around.

As the air parts, she simply appears near her preferred table. Moiraine is carrying an anthology of poetry again this evening, and has a small notebook as well.

The Aes Sedai settles at her table and opens her books, with an idle glance around the bar.

[Summary: Elaine brings tea at Dream's request and is convinced to take a short break, in which she and Moiraine discuss Elaine's family and background, with great canon similarity identified, and then move into feminism and finally discussion of their worlds. Morpheus appears, and Moiraine thanks him for his consideration, and then they are simply cute together for a while. Later, she and Roland discuss Cort's arrival and whether or not Roland should tell him things about the future; at some point later, Peter Pevensie asks her to Heal Caspian (although the healing is rejected in Caspian's thread). Afterwards, she returns to her table and is joined by Bran, who discusses poetry with her-- and is stunned by a plotty revelation. Meg drops by and tells Moiraine that she'll be joining the ranks-of-pseudo-immortal-mortals after her own death, and this is still under discussion, as the thread is slowtimed. Finally, Nita Callahan introduces herself and asks for help with a problem that concerns Asmodean, which immediately gets Moiraine's full attention... (Say it with me, folks: slowtimed.)]

Peter comes downstairs.

...ayup. So he does.

Lilly is curled up in a booth with coffee. She looks thoughtful, but not in a bad way, and there's a notebook lying on the table beside her.

[Summary: Lilly and Ace discover that Lilly has never blown anything up, and set off to remedy this travesty immediately. Lilly meets Barry and chats about psycho harpists, talks to Kitty about weddings and receives a jug of Better Than Babies, and talks to Pete about scones - life, basically. They're still talking.]

Lilly Kane steps through the front door, and looks relieved for a moment. She very carefully does not look around on her way straight to the bar, where she gets a bottle of tequila and a shotglass and then heads for a booth.

[Summary: Lilly and Alain have a conversation about life and death and tequila that is beautifully breaky in ways neither mun really expected. Peter notices Lilly's return but doesn't talk to her. Barty decides that now is the perfect time to explain that he's not an evil murderer, and Lilly eventually cuts him slack. Susan is lovely and big sisterly even when Lilly tells her that Peter is a git, and Meg comes along to see exactly why Lilly's been drinking and finds it a good enough reason to let her keep at it.]

Peter stumbles into the bar, successfully procures a cup of tea, and empties it before noticing that Edmund is at a table.

He makes a beeline. A somewhat wavery beeline.
[personal profile] iustus_rex
It's a bizarrely early hour of the morning for Edmund to be active in the bar. This would be because his player's schedule needs to be drastically skewed in order to comply with work on Tuesday morning, but nevermind THAT now.
Regardless, he's apparently currently very vaguely occupied with breakfast. And with looking around absently. His player is watching the conversation between Crowley, Aziraphael, and Lucifer, but he's only met the one and hasn't met his friend Adam's dad yet, so he isn't, really.

Claire steps behind the bar, and quickly goes about her duties, making sure she doesn't meet anyone's eyes as she does. This is because she's wearing the horrible blue micro!mini-skirt Bar gave. The one she had to promise Sawyer she'd wear in order to get him in a kilt. It's not the worst thing a bartender has ever worn, certainly. But for Claire? It's dreadful. She does have a button-down shirt over it, to try and make it look more professional. It's probably not working so much, but you got to give her credit for trying.

Once she's finished straightening up she turns to the patrons at the bar with a shy smile that looks completely wrong when matched with her attire.

"Can I get anybody anything?"

[[ooc: Claire will be here until roughly 5:45 EST. And also, you have to tag her to get the miniskirt icon. Say sorry.

summary: Claire and Jaina reach a (friendly) agreement. Claire and Sawyer flirt outrageously, because he is a bad influence on her. Claire and Helen chit-chat. Claire gets a mysterious rose form the Opera Ghost, and a note from Ace. Asar-Suti stops by for a drink and some business. Esk stops by for a drink and catching up. And Claire makes Peter very uncomfortable with her choice of clothing for the day. Oh, and see Sawyer for the pictures. ]]

What will you be having this morning?

[summary: chat about insanity cures with Ray, minor chitchat with Eska, LONG debate with Peter Pevensie]
