Lily read the expository screen with great interest this evening, and even scrolled through the choices offered there, but ultimately decided there was rather enough changing going on at the moment.
But the bricks and blocks and such? That part of Cubefall she will happily embrace.
So Lily may, at present, be found building a tower out of whatever building materials were in reach, one that makes a couple of highly improbable turns and appears to be standing at least partly in defiance of the laws of physics.
Which is, of course, exactly what it's doing.
That's what magic's for, right?
[ETA: Slowtime, please? Thanks!]

Happy Hour!

The long day of baking had been cathartic, and Sunshine had needed it. Rae... wasn't thinking about what was going on back home, just yet. Wasn't ready to, so wasn't going to. Not right now. She had just set the tray of still-warm baked good on the bar when she'd received a napkin.
"...Well, all right. You get some sleep," Sunshine says, slipping behind the bar and grabbing one of the drink recipe books.
She's in lime-green jeans and an electric-blue top, though they're mostly covered by the sunflower-dotted apron still tied about her waist. Where her clothes are not effectively covered, they're dusted with flour (how unusual!).
Soon, the Specials Board is up. Some the writing might be a bit cramped, but she'd had to make sure everything fit.
Happy Hour Specials!
Tequila Sunrise
Sunburn
Sun of a Beach
Sunset
Non-Alcoholic
Sunshake
AND Sunshine's Fresh Baked Goods
Cinnamon Rolls As Big As Your Head: $2.50
(Extra Icing: $.50)
Bitter Chocolate Death: $2.50
Caramel Cataclysm: $2.25
Lemon Lechery: $2.00
Chocoholia: $2.00
Muffins: $1/ea, $10.00/dozen
(Blueberry-Candied Pecan, Strawberry-Chocolate, Oatmeal-Cranberry, Jalapeno-Sweetcorn)
"Happy Hour starts now, denizens of Milliways," Sunshine says, smiling as she snags a gooey, fragrant cinnamon roll for herself. "What will you have?"
(ooc: Mun is tired and heading to bed. Post is open for tags forever, though. <3)

The door to Milliways opens, admitting an excited red-haired girl that hasn't been seen in the bar in quite a while. And by excited the narrations means Excited, with a capital 'E'; she's practically bouncing as she comes in. The reason for her good mood is firmly clenched in one hand.
Lily Luna Potter has finally received her Hogwarts letter.
Eventually Lily calms down enough to realize that she hasn't ended up in her bedroom, where she'd been heading. When she realizes where she is, her face lights up even more (if it were at all possible).
"I didn't think I'd see this place again!"

It's happy hour time again and your bartender for the evening is Angelina. She's not exactly a pro at this but she figures how hard can it be to pour a few drink? Plus, she has magic on her side right? Which leads to her choice of specials for the evening...
Tonight's Specials!
Salem Witch
Black Magic
Frisky Witch
Eerie Witch's Brew (non alcoholic)
(Free Magic show with every order)
She leans against the back bar, idly making shot glasses dance across the surface and sipping a firewhiskey until she gets some customers. So have at it folks. She's got all the time in the world...
[OOC: Closed to new threads as I'll be going to bed in the next 30 minutes.]
[ETA: Bedtime for me now - somehow it reached 5am when I wasn't looking. Oops? Slowtime!]

Close combat has never been Cata's strong point. She knows that, and she's not expecting to get it back in any grand capacity.
On the other hand, she's just seen what was done to the Assassins' Guild Hall while most (all?) of its usual tenants were off Leading Better Lives. Fortunately, it wasn't actually in use as a girls' boarding school yet, but... it's far too cheery now, they've achieved that much. And she really needs to hit something that won't be hitting back.
As such, she's outside, abusing the punching bag. She doesn't mind the slight chill to the air; it has, after all, been years since her last proper winter, and it's boosting her stamina a bit.
(OOC: Car keys bait for Finn and Lily Potter the Younger; open to all comers.)

The fall never does seem to end. All things do end, just as all stories start with 'once upon a time'. In Giselle's case, her fall - nay, journey - ends in a bath of stars. At first, they seem beautiful. She stares at them in wonder. But wonder fades quickly as they begin to attack. She gasps for help, for air, for something.
Seconds later a new journey begins. She's shot across the universes and when she comes to, Giselle finds herself (three dimensional) in a dark cavern. But look! There's light shining through those holes on the ground in front of her. She uses it to explore her hands and hair carefully (not a bit out of place, despite her horrible journey). Her attention then turns to the holes as she pokes at them experimentally. Giselle musters all her courage. This light has to be the way out and back to Andalasia.
A circular piece of floor is shifted away as the young maiden pushes up the lid. She climbs out carefully, eager to see that Edward has banished the old woman and rescued her. But she stops climbing halfway.
What Giselle sees isn't the castle, isn't anything close to Andalasia. It's Milliways Bar.
"Oh my."
[ooc: mun is falling asleep as of 10 pm est. slowtime please?]

Rose has had a good week. She spoke to her father, and that,. most of all, made her feel a lot better about
some things.
The door hasn't reappeared yet. She shrugs, smiles, and turns away. Lunch, and then either a trip outside or
find something to do indoors. There's enough to stay busy with until she learns what she needs to know, or needs to do here.
There are a couple of specific people she hopes to see, but she'll talk to anyone.

So, today is The Day.
What day might that be, you might ask?
Why, it is the day that James does his periodic check to see whether the front door will open and let him back into his world. After talking to his uncle Ron (who had told him just that - to check the door from time to time), he is actually surprised to find that not long after that word of advice, the door does...
In fact...
Open.
It opens. It opens!
James blinks dumbly. Then he closes the door again with a click, and - miraculously - re-opens it. He lets out a breath, one hand reaching into his robes to make sure the half of his arrow is still there. It is.
But he feels like he can't leave just yet. Thus, there is a young boy of twelve sitting cross-legged in front of the door, practically staring up at it. Never mind that he is more at risk of being tripped or trampled over.
[ooc: all threads from now on will occur before the James-Will thread for continuity purposes! but please don't let that discourage you from tagging. thank you!]
