"None at all, I am afraid. Somewhat of a reculsive thing I am, lately."

He shakes his head, "I am not sure why."

"I missed you."

He shrugs.

"But I have been gone too, so it would have done little good."

He smiles a little more.

"Well, yes. It is only that I have been busy with getting the trick of the broom, and of figuring myself. And I am here now, so."

"Will you take me flying?"

Dredging up his bravery.

"One time?"

He'd seen how Jack was afraid of the broom the last time, so.

"Of course." He squeezes Jack's arm. "Only as high as you'd like."

"Thank you. I have decided to try what I can."

For slightly morbid reasons, but shhh.

"And that is at least something."

"I'm not entirely sure I could take you up, though. You might have to go up without."

But he grins. "I'd be poised to catch, of course."

"And if I fell into your arms with a whoomch," his nose wrinkles in repressed laughter, "then what would become of the broom?"

"It seems to me it might find its own way back down."

Or he likes to think it might. A shake of his head. "But I do not think you would fall off."

"I would try very hard not to," he amends earnestly.

"Although you need not worry about me, I am light. Santino can jump a wall with me clutched tight, and land us safely, but then, he is not... normal."

"Few here seem to be genuinely normal, it seems."

He counts himself as normal - for the most part. It's only the diamonds, really, and they don't give him powers or make him invisible.

"Mercutio thought your marks were extraordinary. They do not have such things in Verona."

But then, Merc's been here a while.

"So he tells me."

He shakes his head. "It is so in Oz. I have seen no others with such things."

"I am getting one."

He looks a touch dubious.

"When Parker's hand is a little better."

"Ah, of course. You decided for certain?"

A small nod.

"Yes. It is only a matter of the when. They will let me have it for the ballet, I asked."

So long as it's not hugely glaring.

He couldn't think of it being huge and glaring, anyway.

A nod. "Good. You will show me, of course? Before."

"As soon as I get it."

He promises.

"It will be lovely. Willow leaves, all curled up. Even Frost is happy, and says he will no longer let Styx bite that part of his shoulder, so the ink does not twist."

It's a near thing that he doesn't snort, but he supposes that is nice of Frost.

"Well, I should hope not. That seems fitting for you."

"Thank you. I thought a long time about it."

It was noble of him.

"It is a permanent sort of thing."

A smile.

"Yes, that should be thought about. Are you overnervous?"

"Yes. No. A little, sometimes, but I have been hurt worse, as you know."

So it'll be alright.

"Well, yes. Parker will be there, though." And that should help.

"I know. He will make it somewhere safe."

Jack has faith.

He nods.

"I should hope so."
