Once Kara got out of the cells and only kind of bolted for the Door, she couldn't get back to the Bar for a few days. She was sort of surprised she missed it, but hey, here it is. Coolness.

First things first - she leaves a long overdue note with Bar.

I turned myself in and did cell time for the fight in the woods. You don't have to, because I worked that out with the girl who took me in, so I'm hoping that you're satisfied with that.

I know it probably won't matter to you, but I am sorry. I hope you're doing okay.

After that, Kara heads outside to study for Claire's math quiz. One small, blonde, cross-legged levitating girl in an entirely seasonable crop top and shorts is hanging out by the lake as she pours over her mostly borrowed notes.

This, she reflects, would probably be easier if she'd ever taken a test she could remember before that didn't involve hitting things with cars or identifying the silhouettes of weaponry.

Distractions will bring her grade down, but she'll be grateful anyway.

And lo, there are many cuddles. Kara missed her canine friends, in the sort of vaguely gut twisting way that made her check her front door thoroughly every couple of hours.

"Hey, no, I totally get it," Kara says, still grinning just a little idiotically, "I would not ask or expect you to go to the Tiny Sealed Boxes of Suck. Because holy fuck, do they suck. I should've fought the law or something. Gone undercover. Got a cool mustache disguise."

"You'd look lovely in a long gold mustache." Spoon assures her gravely as Stepan does his best to make sure she wasn't anywhere interesting and why didn't she invite him anyway? "Got meself shot, but I dominated an entire platoon of Americans."

"You," Kara says, "Are really good at dropping weird out of context attention getting stuff into conversation. You're like a walking headline dispensor. What's the story?"

Does she have to hit someone?

"Uh." Spoon shrugs, "Went to Lieutenant Muldoon's world, got into a scrap with one of his men. Guy pulled a gun on the lieutenant, I got him to shoot me instead, Lieutenant knocked him down, I stared him down and then shifted me face?" No big deal, his body posture says, "Healed before I stood up all the way."

"Oh, okay," Kara says, relaxing a little, "Good that it worked out. Why did the guy pull a gun on his lieutenant, though?" No big deal, is her implied agreement, tinged with just a little dash of pride.

Spoon is totally a superhero but doesn't know it yet.

"Batshite insane." Spoon offers after a moment of thought, "Dunno past that."

"...my offer of punching people stands," Kara says, after considering a batshit insane werewolf that doesn't channel his craziness into smoking, "Seriously. I don't like the idea of you being all...not around an invulnerable person for stuff like that."

"Promised Ace that if he gets out of line she can blow him up." He assures Kara, nodding several times, "Better than me eating him, innit?"

"Yeah, plus, it's Ace," she agrees, because...well, it's Ace, and Kara knows how Spoon feels about Ace, and has therefore concluded that Ace must be pretty fucking awesome. "I bet she has amazing blowing stupid people up skills."

"Fuckin' best ever. If you need anything blown up, find me girl. And her face when she's got fire around..." He gets a dorky, dorky grin on his face. Ace is a pyromaniac. Spoon adores it.

"...is something I think I should only let you appreciate," Kara says, grinning as she snuggles Stepan, "It seems like a boyfriend thing."

"She just looks happy, lass. Flat out happy, without anything else attached." Spoon loves it when she's happy.

"I should really try to meet up with her sometime," Kara says, after just taking a little time to grin stupidly because - love! Even somebody else's is awesome. "I can set stuff on fire with my eyes, she'd think that was cool, right?"

"She would." Spoon agrees with a nod, and a silly smile.

"Sweet. I don't want to irk the girlfriend, because that'd totally harsh the buzz of this friendship," she says, and then glances up. "Um, this is probably a dumb question, but do you know anything about exponential graphs? Just throwing that out there."

Spoon eyes her and says firmly, "No. You should ask Ace about that too. She's very good with maths. I can do basic figuring."

"Me too," Kara admits, "But according to my teacher I should've learned it in ninth grade, but I kind of either didn't go to or don't remember ninth grade, so...yeah. Annoying! But okay. Becky says she'll help me cram at lunch tomorrow."

"I used to know that shite, but it's like with letters. They move." It makes him want to bite things. Spoon doesn't use pens if he's got an option, when doing maths. Ink tastes nasty.

"I've been asking everyone," she says, shrugging, "It was mostly just randomness on my part. But anyways, how are all your various people lately? Phil's baby stuff coming along all okay or whatever?"

"Things are good." He assures her, "Phils is doing alright, mum and da' are thrilled, and Ace is living with us."

"Oooh, she moved in?" Kara says, eyeing him up with a grin she thinks is knowing. "Yeah, things would be good." Nudge nudge, wink wink!

"Yeah." Spoon says with a grin that makes Kara's attempt look as innocent as a baby's. It's positively filthy, that grin. (Hint: Don't ask about dessert.)

"Soooo," Kara says, bumping his shoulder, "Cats and dogs, living together. How's that working out for the two of you? I totally demand details."

...So the next couple minutes, or until Kara cuts him off?

Filthy. Detailed and filthy.

...Ace and Spoon are kinky.

'Kay? 'Kay.

Kara puts her hands over Stepan's ears protectively after the first few sentences, because he is way too young for this kind of talk.

Kara, on the other hand, is so not.

"Nice," she's finally compelled to interject, nudging him, "Dude. I did not even know you had all that in you. Total points for originality and - don't you even get tired?"
