Draco had spoken to Potter a while back, and Harry mentioned a secret. Something horrible and evil. One that's unspeakable and unforgiveable. Worse than Voldemort himself.
He steeled himself, and asked the Bar for some.
There was a note on a napkin, "Are you sure about this?"
"Yes, just give them already." He scooped up the materials. If you listened closely, you could almost hear the distant voices of cackling evil laughter, and piercingly shrill squees of delight.
He carefully placed them on a table, and ordered a drink. Just from what Harry had said before, he knew he would need it.
Mr. Malfoy was learning about the evil that is HP fandom. (Though luckily, he's being spared the truly mind numbingly worse of the lot, because that's too much for most muns, much less the pup.)
Shortly into reading, there's a loud cry, "URRRGHHHH! I don't even LIKE HIM! And WHY AM I PREGNANT??"

Tricky, but she manages to burn it in the most difficult, and therefore most impressive way possible.

Better think of something to say or she'll just melt into a puddle.
"By the way, could you tell me a bit more about your world? The truth, not what's in those stories. I did a little reading about England, a newspaper from Miss Bar."
And there was that place that Remy was from, that cute little rat, that he said wasn't far from England.
What was it called again? Pears? What a silly name for a city.

"And then there's London, where you can find Diagon Alley, and Knockturn Alley." He briefly talked about those places, and then the town of Hogsmeade near the school. And the trips they would let the students take over there. It was clear in his tone of voice how he still missed it. Missed his world still.
no subject
"We can still go there, right? And there was another place that I heard about that sounded interesting. I was told that it was near England."
She thinks it over. Could it really be called that? Surely she must be getting something wrong.
"It sounds like pears?"
no subject
"Yes, I got some potion prepared for it. Knew I had to stop back there possibly soon."
He then tried to think. Near England, and he wordlessly sounded it out. Pears? Parrzzz? Oh.
"Paris? That's somewhere in France. It's a different country. I suppose it's sort of close?" Draco currently has a leg up on most wizards. He's studied geography a little.

No one has told her a thing about the romantic ideas that are usually attached to Paris, but then, she got all of her information about the city from brief mentions in a newspaper and a talking rat.

Curse her obliviousness showing up again!
But then, Lunar doesn't exactly have a city known for things like that.

Cue appropriate blushing.
The closest thing Lunar has to a romantic spot would be Lyton, not that Mia was entirely thinking about that when she asked Draco if he wanted to go there. But there is the legend, though could you really call it a legend if it happened? The legend that said a shrine will rise from the lake if a couple truly in love sing a song on the banks?
A pause.
"So, do you want to go to Paris?"
no subject
"I think Beauxbatons isn't that far from there. That's another Wizarding school but it's just for witches," he then explained, and then remarked, "Er, we can go to Paris if you want, I suppose?" It was a bit further than he expected to go. But perhaps, that would mean any Death Eaters wouldn't expect him to go there either."
no subject
"It must not have been very interesting for you then."
But it might be now.
"Could we really go? I'd like to see Paris."
The unspoken end of that sentence is "with you."

There was a brief chill thinking of how risky it could be for them.

She runs her thumb over his hand, again trying to be comforting.

After a few minutes, he thickly replied, "Was just remembering. It'll be dangerous in some areas. Some of the shops had closed in Diagon Alley, and Knockturn Alley could be a good idea, or very bad. They might not expect me to head to a place notable for Dark magic shops."
He then asked, "You said you know offensive and defensive spells? I think even more than the sparring we should test that."
no subject
"You've already seen me use them, in a way. Or at least samples of the main ones I know. I put a type of shield spell on the table and got rid of those stories with a smaller version of my Flame Bomb spell. Fire and ice are my strengths. But if you intend to go to my world on a trip sometime, it would still be a good idea for me to see how well you can use a sword in the event that we encounter something impervious to magic."
no subject
He sighed, "We might have to do something even worse in that regard." Remembering someone else who was good in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Good enough to teach even.
"We might have to ask for Harry to help." He muttered, cringing to have to admit it.
no subject
"I understand. I may have seen my share of battle, but that has been done in my world. It certainly wouldn't hurt. I don't mind working on that, but after our trip to your world, we need to work on your swordplay."
She even giggles a little as he cringes.
"Come on, now, Harry isn't bad."
And Draco already owes Harry, otherwise Mia might not be sitting next to the git right now.
no subject
"Of course, we'll do that. I just want to make sure you'll be all right. They won't hesitate to come after you. Especially if they suspect you're not a pureblood witch. They're as bad to Mudblo...Muggle-borns and blood traitors as they are to Muggles themselves. And anybody with blood like giant, Veela or others? It's just as bad. I remember how they were even before the Dark Lord was reborn, during the Quidditch Cup. Setting fires, turning muggles upside down so you could see their pants and knickers." Brief chuckle escaped him at that. The memory remained laced with humor for him slightly.

In fact, she's looking at him with a distinct look asking him why he is.
