The mun was not going to post Boo in this weekend. She was going to take some time to finish slowtimes and work on small plotty things. However, the mun forgot that she had IDEAS. She also forgot that she, too, is helpless against the cuteness that is Boo. And SO, here we are.

Boo is outside her blanket fort. She appears to be All Better! from last week's being sick thing. She's hopping around and singing. On top of her blanket fort there is a half eaten plate of cake and a pink Hello Kitty! sippy filled with lukewarm hot chocolate.
Boo has definitely been affected by the people she's met here.

It should be noted what Boo is wearing! She has on a white t-shirt with a large, red " Hello, My Name Is " logo on it. And in the name portion of the logo "Boo!" appears to be handwritten on it. (except it's not hand written; it's printed on there like the rest) On the rest of the shirt there are smaller and different colored "Hello, My Name Is" logos, with all of the names she's called on them. "Boo!" is there a few more times, "Grace" and "Gracie" are on there at least two times each, "Half Pint," "Squirt" "Zow" "Mike" and "Mike Wizowski" are also featured prominently. There is also "Little Bit", "Little One" "Cutie" and possibly several others that the mun has forgotten.

She also has on black jean shorts and white bunny house shoes that JINGLES WHEN SHE MOVES HER FEET. This might explain why she's dancing around. SHE LOVES HER NEW SHOES!

It's unclear where Boo got all these items, or how they got onto her person. But she has them on and she LOVES THEM and thus it's all happy making in the end.

Her expression drops a bit.

"isssss?" Still hopeful, but less so this time.

Said explanatory trip to Bar is definitely in order.

"Think Bar can help us out?" Kate asks gently, getting to her feet again and holding out a hand.

When Kate stands Boo up in order to stand up herself, Boo doesn't move. She just looks up at Kate with a forlorn expression. Very forlorn.

Then suddenly there are Boo wails.

And tears.

Lots of those.

More tears than wails, really.

"Oh, honey, I'm sorry — "

Concerned, she crouches and opens her arms, waiting to see if Boo actually wants hugs from her; Kate's not sure what she's done to make Boo cry, but it can't be good.

Boo sort of leans against Kate, continuing the crying and being distressed.

After some moments of this there is less loud and more quiet distressed. And hiccups. The hiccups that follow a hard cry.

Kate holds Boo close, rubbing her back until the crying slows and tapers into hiccups.

"I'm so sorry," she murmurs, picking up Boo and standing. "We'll get you some juice to help those hiccups, and maybe Bar can help tell me what you want to do, okay?"

Boo leans against Kate, continuing to hiccup.

She doesn't seem to object to being picked up or held. She's..kind of limp, actually. In a being upset sort of way.

Kate feels absolutely terrible about the upset-ness, especially because she's responsible for it.

When they reach Bar, Kate gingerly settles Boo on the counter, but keeps one arm wrapped loosely around Boo's shoulders.

"Bar, could I have a sippy cup of apple juice, please?"

When it appears, Kate offers the sippy to Boo with her free hand.

"Feel like drinking this, sweetheart?"

Boo does not get more or less distressed when she's placed on Bar. She reaches for the sippy and drinks a few gulps of it.

She still seems a bit out of out of sorts.

When she's finished drinking, she just sits and sort of looks absently at nothing in particular.

"Good job," Kate says softly, apologetically, rubbing Boo's tiny shoulder.

She's quiet for a moment, studying Boo's subdued demeanor.

"Want to see if Bar can show us what you were trying to tell me earlier?"

There is what might be interpreted as a thoughtful pause - although if it's thought on Bar's end or Boo's is unclear.

Then an empty ten gallon fish tank appears.

"Fish," Kate obviouses with a smile. "Okay — do you want to see the lake, Boo? There are fish in the lake."

Fish?

Boo perks up a significant bit.

Fish?

Did Lellow Kake say fish?

and LAKE?

WITH WATER?!

Boo's eyes WIDEN at this possibility. And she perks up. A lot.

"isss?" Hopeful. Excited.

"W'er!" EEE WATER WITH FISH!!

Kate laughs, relieved to see Boo's usual exuberance returning in full force.

"That's right — there are fish in the water. We can go outside for a while if you want to?"

As if it's even a question, judging by Boo's response to the mere mention of the lake.

Oh, look, Boo is now turned around and attempting to jump down off the bar all by herself in order to ruuuuuuuun over to the door that leads to the outside and the WATER and the FIIIIISH!

FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH.

Kate's quick reflexes save Boo from herself. After Boo's feet are safely, gently set on the floor, Kate offers a hand that may possibly be ignored in the name of getting to the back door and reaching the fish as soon as Boo-ly possible.

It is, most certainly, the second. Kate insists on placing Boo on the floor, and as soon as they are, Boo's sped off like a small toy truck all wound up.

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM AND SHE'S AT THE DOOR OPEN THE DOOR OPEN THE DOOR LELLOW KAKE SO THERE CAN BE OUTSIDE AND WATER AND FIIIIIISH. LELLOW KAKE, YOU MOVE TOO SLOOOOOOW HURRY UP, HURRY UP OPEN THE DOOOOOR!

Chuckling, Kate half-jogs to Boo while Boo does the Waiting Dance of Impatience, and offers her free hand for holding as she opens the door.

"All right, Gracie-Boo, let's go. Have you been to the lake yet?"

OH OH OH THE DOOR IS OPEN! THE DOOR'S OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPEN!

There is more ignoring the Kate hand and more runnnnnnnnnning and then just a short while later there is splashing and lots and lots of wet clothes and Boo squeals.

Kate jogs up seconds after the splashing begins.

"Boo — "

She's trying hard to remain firm, but Boo's too adorable and excited for Kate to deliver a true reprimand. (And Kate may be laughing, to boot.)

" ... no drowning allowed, okay?"

Keeping an eye on the splashing and gallivanting, Kate picks up a small rock and skips it across the water.

Boo doesn't know what drowning is, but it sounds icky, so she makes a mental note to avoid it. Should she ever have a chance.
So..if something ever comes up and introduces itself as 'drowning' she will run away. Quickly. And then possibly attempt to ask Lellow Kake why she just behaved in such a rude manner.
Not that the concept of 'rude' is not quite clear to her either.

BUT! LELLOW KAKE IS STILL UP ON THE DRY LAND! WHERE THERE ARE NO FISH! AND NO BOOS! There was no two-year-old approval stamp on this idea.

Boo continues to splash around. Thoughtfully.

And then! She gets a panicked look! And starts to wail. (but if observant Kate is observant, she might notice there are not tears. iiiinteresting.)

Predictably, Kate's way more concerned with the wailing than the lack of tears.

Which is why she's quick to wade into the lake without bothering to roll up her jeans or kick off her flip-flops.

"Boo?"

She's searching the shallow water for any kind of aquatic menace that might've caused the sudden wails.

Once Kate is both in the water and within Boo's arms reach, the two year old makes a miraculous recovery! She beams at Kate and starts splashing happily in the adult's general direction.

YAY LELLOW KAKE IN THE WATER!

Happy Boo.

To Kate's credit, she doesn't flinch too much when the water hits her.

In fact, she may be eyeing Boo suspiciously.

"Nice plan," she concedes with a shake of her head, then leans down to trail a hand in the water.

And now, she may be retaliating with some (careful) splashing of her own in Boo's general direction.

Boo squeals! Splashes Kate.

And points into the shallow water at her feet. "No isssss."
