Kate stiffens and tries to ignore the vomit soaking the front of her black tank. And the vomit on her forearm.

Because it's not important — Boo's upset and Kate knows how awful it feels to throw up.

"Oh, Boo — I'm sorry ... "

That's a hundred percent sincere sympathy in Kate's voice.

She looks over at Bill, thankful he had the foresight to bring a towel with the trash can.

Ew.

He got the trashcan down infront of her, for all the good it did.

Looking at the mess on his shirt front and arms he starts to wipe it off then notices Kate and Boo and offers the towel to Kate instead.

"She gonna be okay?"

Boo sort of continues to whine and points to her nose, which has icky coming out of it, and her pants, which have icky on them and whines more.

Now there's icky EVERYWHERE, even on Kate and Bill. Boo feels bad. She doesn't like the icky!

But, on the plus side, she doesn't look green anymore!

" -- thanks," Kate murmurs, reaching for the towel while taking careful inventory of Boo.

"I know, sweetheart, I see ... "

She begins to wipe the icky from Boo's nose and mouth.

"She looks better."

I think.

Bill reaches over to a table to grab napkins to try and clean himself up with while studying Kate and Boo.

"Yeah, she don't look green anymore. There anything I can do?" Kate seems to have the cleanup part handled.

Boo seems to be calming down somewhat. She sniffles, then grimaces.

She perks up a bit and presents her shiny Hello Kitty bracelet for Bill's inspection. She points to the Hello Kitty charm.
"B'll!"

"Actually," Kate answers, wiping the last of the gross from Boo's pants, "would you ask Bar for a clean — "

'Change of clothes for Boo' is the rest of that request, but it gets lost in a laugh when Boo displays her bracelet.

Bill looks down at the bracelet, blinks and then looks at Kate who's laughing.

"Bad influence." He accuses.

Boo seems pleased that the mood has brightened up somewhat.

She points to Bill.
"Shit!"

She looks expectantly at both of them for a reaction.

"It wasn't me," Kate protests, still laughing. "I only asked Bar for this because she had a Hello Kitty sippy — "

She stops short and looks from Bill to Boo, then back to Bill.

"Bill."

Bill's eyes widen at Boo's word and he looks from Boo to Kate and takes a quick step back.

"I'm gonna go get more towels." He says as he turns and heads back towards Bar.

Boo smiles sort of to herself and touches Kate's icky shirt.

"Ewww."

" -- and clean clothes for Boo," Kate calls after Bill's retreating form.

She turns back to Boo and gives her a (somewhat) reproachful grin.

"That's a word you shouldn't use, half-pint. Not till you're older. Much older."

She looks down when Boo touches her shirt.

"Eww," she agrees, toweling Boo's hand, then wiping the vomit from her forearm. She'll have to tackle the stains on her tank when Bill gets back with fresh towels.

Bill returns, taking perhaps a bit longer then it should have, and holds out more towels and clothes for Boo to Kate.

"Here ya go." He keeps a towel for himself and works on getting himself cleaned up, frowning as he decides this is the last time he's going to wear this shirt.

Boo grins at the non-icky nametag shirt just like the one she's been wearing. She points to it. "Boo!"

"Thanks."

Kate accepts the towels and Boo's new clothes with a wry smile.

"I like how I'm the bad influence," she teases as she wipes down the front of her shirt with a slight grimace. She won't be wearing it again.

She tosses the soiled towels in the trash can and grins at Boo.

"That's right," she laughs, holding up the T-shirt and pants. "These are for you."

Bill smiles and gives a one shouldered shrug, "I didn't...it was when I was fallin. Didn't even know she was there til she started cryin."

It's amazing he didn't step on her as he passed by not paying attention.

His shirt is about as clean as he's going to get it so he kneels down and looks at Boo, "You alright, kiddo?"

"me'sake" She points to Bar and looks at Bill significantly. Getting her a Hello Kitty milkshake will score him Major Points. Might even make her forget him stepping on a toy.

Then she starts trying to get her icky shirt off. The shirt, of course, gets caught on Boo's head and she whimpers slightly. BE OF THE FIXING IT NOW PLEASE!

Kate headtilts a little at the apparent request, but then the shirt gets stuck and she can't exactly ask Boo to repeat herself.

She gently tugs off the offending garment and tosses it in the trash, then holds out Boo's clean shirt before glancing at Bill.

"Do you know what she said?"

When Boo makes the request Bill tilts his head and thinks, muttering to himself.

"Me sake? Me sake...me sack...me sock...me...shake?" SHAKE!

He flashes a smile at Kate and then gets up and leaves yet again, returning with a strawberry milkshake in a Hello Kitty glass.

"Here ya go Squirt."

Boo beams at Bill and reaches for the glass eagerly. She drinks it almost all gone, and only spills a little.

Look who's getting to be a big girl with the big girl drinking glasses!

Kate surveys Boo as she drinks, making sure the glass isn't going to topple, then looks at Bill in bemusement when Boo's nearly finished.

"Don't tell me she got into Hello Kitty because of you, sheriff."

"Bar did it." He replies. "As always."

He smiles at Kate and laughs, it's always Bar's fault.

Looking at her he asks, "You uh, want me to get you somethin clean to change into too?"

He'll be swapping out his own shirt in a bit, after Boo and Kate are taken care of.

Boo babbles something at both of them, then drinks the rest of the milkshake.

mmmm. Milkshakes are yummy. And totally get rid of that leftover icky taste.

Then she stands up and starts pulling her icky pants off.

Modesty whut?

Kate looks down at her shirt with a rueful smile, then back to Bill, and shakes her head.

"Thanks, but I'll run upstairs and change in just a — "

She turns at the wriggling.

"Boo, wait," she half-laughs, holding up the fresh pair of pants and glancing around the bar. "We can do that in the bathroom."

Though it looks like modesty might be a lost cause at this point.
