William loves the Milliways' stables as they're big, most of the horses are friendly and he can always finds some space to himself. Their barn at home does what it needs to and he has a spot for hiding stuff in it, but his responsibilities are more there.
Today he's taken care of a few chores around the barn and has been introducing himself to a beautiful mare that recently arrived. Horus is exploring and William's not too concerned about him as the forge cats keeps an eye on him when they're here.
Once he's done checking on all the horses, he plans on sitting on the back porch of the Bar with a book and enjoying it feeling like Spring.
(OOC: Catch him in the stables or on the porch.)

She offers the apples a bit warily. Not out of any particular fear--horses are as common to her daily life as cars are to other people. But you never quite know which ones will be tempermental and unfriendly.
She looks up at one point from wiping her hands clean on her handkerchief and spots William. She raises her hand in greeting.
"Hello, Mr. Evans."
[OOC: Might be on and off slowtime this evening, if that's okay?]

"Hello, Miss. Bennet, have you met the newest mare yet? She belongs to Lady Marian and she's nice and friendly,"
A horse that certainly won't bother Mary.
no subject
Why must eating an apple involve so much slobber?
She looks as if she's considering something. Something has been puzzling her.
"How do horses get here, anyway?"
no subject
He likes having an idea of all the horses even if he doesn't know all the people they connect to.
no subject
Mary looks as if she can't decide whether to be horrified or amused at this revelation.

Are there really five of them, moving as if they were just incidentally happening by?

"They do like him," Teja says. "Indeed, the cats in this place are forming a veritable gang."
no subject
He leans down and offers his hand and pets to the cats. Horus licks his hand as he knew where his human was.
no subject
"Indeed, I sometimes think they tamed us, not the other way around," Teja says.

Still, he had always retreated to the stables at Locksley and the castle when he needed to talk through a problem with someone who could keep a secret.
His stallion had heard a lot of secrets.
Only he wasn't here. Guy assumed he would be back at Locksley and hoped someone was taking care of him. Thornton would probably make sure he was looked after.
Marian had a black stallion here, that she brought from home. Perhaps he could offer insight on whether he should reveal the future to her.

"You lookin' for a horse, sir?"
no subject
"Something like that," he answered. "Lady Marian has a horse here."
no subject
He doesn't think he's met a Lady Marian but she has wonderful horses.
no subject
The mare...is new.
Guy came closer to examine her.
"Marian had a horse like this, that was brought to Nottingham Castle." Not quite new, now that he's looked closely. "But she disappeared from the stables one night, with some others."

Kate spins in a tight circle, neatly avoiding the kitten who's suddenly underfoot without spilling a drop of water from either of the buckets she's carrying. She laughs, shaking her head.
"Howdy, Horus. I reckon your master ain't too far off?"
She's been in and out the past few weeks, thanks to the unpredictable nature of the doors around this place. She might as well keep on top of her chores before she heads back out again.

Roz and Goldie are always extra affectionate when she isn't spending all her nights in her room. Particularly since the end of things here.
She sets down one of the buckets, and pulls off her glove with her teeth so she can administer skritches to the little fella.
