Lilly is on a mission from... well, herself. She is going to find out what the hell actually cursed Puck (this time) if it kills her because a) it can't kill her, she's already dead and b) she has a sneaking fondness for her faeke husband and genuinely wants to help.
However.
Because she is Lilly, her current attempt to help involves a stab at scientific research: recreating past bar "incidents" on a crowd of volunteer waitrats to see if there's any common thread around causes, cures, and accidental side-effects.
The table before her is spread with a variety of seemingly innocuous items: peppercorn and honey and gin, a bowl of steaming curry, band candy, a horn and some cherries and a paper umbrella, the Roman equivalent of a penny, mints, two kinds of apples, a soy latte, and a Mexican coke. (Hey, this is thirsty work.)
Approach at your own risk.
[OOC: not plot-locked but please ping me at 'da emmy gee' or comment on backroom post before tagging so we see what might happen to our poor pups. Accidentally, of course. :D).
ETA: ahahahah awesomeness! slowtiming for now but let's keep doing this you mad impetuous frogs, you.

As there does not appear to be anyone with stars for eyes lurking in the corners, Cooper proceeds to the bar, gets his coffee in a to-go cup (if pressed by someone who did not dwell in Twin Peaks, Cooper would admit that the coffee here is much better than Norma's, even better than Lucy's), and turns to see Lilly.
Cooper lifts a hand, approaching. Her table's on his way back out, if you squint, and it's been a while. "Afternoon, Lilly."

Impossible to determine effect of mints without paying closer attention to rat genitalia. But how do I trick someone into examining rat junk? Ugh, research.
Mint status: indeterminate.
She lifts her head.
"Oh wow, hey Coop! It's been a while. Want to sit?"
no subject
"If there's room," he says, taking the chair nearest the corner of the table with the least amount of stuff on it. "How have you been?"
no subject
Seriously, though. He should ignore all that.
"Not too bad. I've been universe-hopping, I hit a whole bunch of narratively familiar ones in a row and I think maybe messed some of them up, so I came back here for a while. How're you?"

Still, one longs for the old days every now and again, even when the new days are busy and pleasing.
"Lilly, how good it is to see you. I didn't know you were back."
His eyes drop to the items on the table. Huh.
"How are you?"
no subject
Lilly grins at him. She'd be happy to see him even if he wasn't also a welcome relief from a pair of amorous amnesiac waitrats.
"Yeah, I'm still kinda in and out but more in than out these days. What's up? Or, uh, down?"
no subject
And he's never ever coming to Milliways, because Tom is a spoilsport.
no subject
"...damn, I have been gone a while."
Ingress is in school? Lilly needs to send her care packages. The good kind.
"And you have apparently been busy."
The eyebrow waggle accompanying that last indicates the nuanced additional meaning.

"Scientific research," she clarifies a second later, as it strikes her this might not be immediately evident to your casual passerby.

She flashes him a bright smile.
"They're just doing science with me."

And the rats seem to be giving off some confusing feelings that he can't make any sense of.

She scribbles a note. Well. She hastily draws a frilly tutu on a sketch of a rat and adds a ? above its head to indicate, in her scienciest way, the fact that it might have amnesia and genderswap or just be amnesiac about its own gender.
"Uh. I'm not sure this falls under a specific branch." Maybe stunted? "Just some general research."

She's also surrounded by lots of random stuff and is doing things with rats, but all of that is secondary.
Never mind the not!girlfriend."Hey there," he greets her as he ambles up to her table. "What's goin' on?"
no subject
"Oh, hey. Um. Science?"
no subject
He smiles and offers a hand. "I'm Tommy, Tommy Gavin. So, is this like, some kinda project?"

Well. She's drizzling honey on a rat. Draw your own conclusions.
no subject
"Um... why?"
He assumes it's nothing against the rules - the reputation of the Milliways security team precedes itself - but still. He's curious.

Bar, instead, gives her a little shot glass of vodka and a note.
She reads it, chuckles, and downs the shot. "Tell Ms. Kane thanks, but I already know I'm hot."
Another note. She raises an eyebrow, shrugs, and saunters over to Lily's table. One of her eyebrows rises slowly at the assortment of items on the table, but plunges on heedlessly, points to the napkin and repeats herself. "Thanks, but I already know that."
no subject
"You know what now?" she asks, handing a tiny sliver of chocolate to a rat and scribbling a note without looking up.
Hopefully the answer will be useful in her endeavors!
