[OOM: The Dark Portal is destroyed and the forces of Azeroth must seek shelter on the world of Draenor.]

The Door does not open.

Instead there's a flash of purple light in the form of concentric, oval rings. An older man in dusty blue and silver robes and holding a staff appears at the center of them and for a moment he looks terribly confused. His eyes start to glow the same shade of purple as he looks around, stopping when he spots the Window. The glow fades as his mouth falls open.

Then he grins. "Ha HA! I knew it! Modera owes me a drink!"

Cassian smiles at that, "I'm a pilot, a lot of people I know are on the shadier side of things."

Khadgar looks confused.

"Why would being a pilot do that?"

Aircraft are still strictly a military thing on his world.

"Because its a little easier for us to have reasons to go between systems."

"You mean to say you're an adventurer with your own plane? Most impressive!"

"Ship, but yes. I do have a co-pilot. I'm not that impressive just good at knowing how to get in and out of various places."

Khadgar looks taken aback a moment.

"I believe we have different ideas of what a 'ship' is. I know them as great vessels capable of carrying armies or even a city's worth of people. Is that what you fly?"

Cos that's even more impressive.

"No, its smaller and called a U-wing and can hold maybe fifteen people and some large weapons. There are ships like what you mentioned in my world with different names depending on where they're from."

"And they're all capable of transporting between planets? Even the small ones?"

"Yes, not every one can but most have the engine capability to do that. There are ships like mine and others down in the garage. It might be easier to show you."

"I'm sorry, Cassian, but that is impressive. Only the greatest of the draenei's crystal ships can move between worlds. That you've not only smaller versions of this but know personally how to fly one? That's rather amazing.

"But then again, what do I know? I'm just an old man after all." He says this last like it's an old joke. "I wouldn't mind seeing them, after I've rested a bit."

"Its always wonderful that first moment when you break atmo and then there's hyperdrive which allows travel between systems. It wasn't easy but there's nothing like flying," Cassian smiles and nods as he loves talking about ships and flying, "Maybe after we eat."

"What do you mean by 'break atmo'?" Khadgar loves learning, so he's happy to listen to Cassian talk.

"Leave a planet's atmosphere, go from the blue of sky, well sometimes blue into the black of space."

"Space?" He laughs a bit, delighted. "Is that what the Great Dark Beyond is called on other worlds?" It'd be like calling your planet 'Earth'.

"Its the name I know it as."

"Well, it's not wrong. It just seems very simple for something as grand and mysterious as the Great Dark." Huh! Space!

"I could see it growing on me," he adds, still delighted.

"Great Dark seems dramatic for the black, which is how I usually think of it."

Again: mage. Inherently dramatic.

"Shouldn't it be? Or is it so well known to you that there's no point in curiosity?" That's actually kind of sad, if so.

"No, its not. There's always something new out there."

"Oh, good. I don't know what I'd do if there was nothing new to learn."

"I don't think that's possible. The galaxy's too big."

"And then you find Milliways and learn there are so many more out there."

He is still very pleased to be here.

"Yes and there's a library upstairs too with knowledge from everywhere."

Khadgar lights up.

Not literally.

"Really? Oh. Oh my, now that is intriguing." Oh yes, he is going to abuse the hell out of that.

"Yes, this is a place with a lot of good resources."
