The Bar seems to have taken it upon herself to update Anakin's wardrobe. This morning, she presented him with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt reading 'Jedi do it forcefully.' He is currently wearing both items and looking perplexed.

She manages to calm, though her lips twitch as she looks up at him. "You, uh." Beat, trying not to laugh again. "Do you...um. Understand the shirt?"

"Apparently not." Poor thing so doesn't get it.

Kitty's lip twitches again. "Um." Beat. "'Doing it' is slang for having intercourse, Anakin. Jedi 'do it'...forcefully." And if he wants any more of an explanation than that, he can go find Desire, dammit.

Realization slowly dawns. And then he winces, which quickly changes into a grin, followed by a full on laugh. Who says ex-Sith Lords don't have a sense of humor?

"That would explain it." He grins. "I'll have to tell Padme."

Innocently, "I imagine she already knows." Grins. "Val and I have them, too. Well, not Jedi ones, but. Same thing, different terms."

Aaaaaaand that stops him right in his tracks. "What?"

Another lip twitch. "Val and I. Have shirts. Like that. Except not with Jedi."

Facepalm. "We're going to pretend I didn't hear that, as, well, I can't quite chase Val's suitor off with a lightsabre, but for you? I really don't want to embarrass you like that."

Laughter. "If they're scared of by a simply lightsabre, they're not meant for me. And it's funny you should mention Val's suitor, actually..." Evil, evil glint in her eyes.

Now he's suspicious. "Kitten. What did you do?"

"Nothing illegal?" Bright smile.

"Considering the wide range of non-illegal and yet terribly creative and mischevious things I did I my misbegotten youth, I don't find that answer comforting. Spill."

Innocently, "You make it sound like I do mischievous things often." Bright smile again. "I met Qui-Gon Jinn."

Still suspicious. "Yes, and?"

"He thought I was Val."

A resigned sigh. "What did you do to the poor man?"

"Nothing! Christ, you make it sound like I'm some sort of demon. And I swear that the demonic influences left my soul years ago." She smirks. "I just...didn't correct him."

He rolls his eyes to the heavens and looks put upon. "Well, *this* will be interesting. Were you *planning* on telling him eventually?"

Thoughtfully, "Well, it was much more fun to tell him what I thought about the Jedi Order's rule against attachment than to think about telling him, truthfully."

Now he looks a little worried. "What did you say?"

A sigh. "You're going to get wrinkles if you look that worried all the time." Shrugs. "That codes are made by mortals. Sometimes they're good ones, and sometimes they're bad ones. But I don't believe any code that forbids love can be all that good, nor that love can be against the will of the Force." Dryly, "Contrary to popular belief, I can be tactful."

"Good girl. I agree with you. What did Qui-Gon say?"

"That 'there was wisdom' in my words." Smirks. "And that I'd make a good wife for Luke."

"Kitten, you are a wonderful person, but no. Val is marrying Luke, and anyone who says different is getting thrown in the lake."

"Don't take this the wrong way, but if there's one family besides the Summers family I'd never marry into, it's the Skywalkers. And I mean that in the nicest possible way." Grins. "And you know it, and I know it. Val, also, knows it, since I told her. Poor girl sprayed her drink all over the table, too. Qui-Gon, however, doesn't know it." Wider grin. "I fooled a Jedi. I feel ridiculously proud of this fact." Absently, "Oh, and Val and I have a present for you."
