Bar pops a chocolate bunny up for Megan, Richard passes it down to her.

She takes it with a sunny smile and starts nibbling on one ear.

"How are you two today?"

"We're fine", Liam answers with a smile. "You?"

"Pretty good. Probably going to take Amadeo to Mass tonight."

He smiles back.

"How's he doing?"

He sighs.

"Better, still upset though. He took that letter very hard."

"Yeah, I saw. He does know it's only a setback, though?"

"Aye, I've been trying to tell him that, but he's got his hopes up for getting a baby before the end of the year."

Liam's expression shows the unlikeliness of that.

"You know, even successful adoptions take time. I'm not sure nine months will be enough even if you're approved..."

He nods and scowls a bit.

"That's exactly what they told us from the start. And we're a difficult case for so many reasons. He gets his hopes set too high sometimes."

Liam grins at him.

"Hey, Tom. This is Megan."

She waves to him cheerfully.

Hullo, Megan. I believe Ingress mentioned meeting a little girl named Megan around the holidays. Is she your daughter?

"Yep! I think she might have met Ingress on New Year's Eve... there was a whole group of kids playing together that night."

She had quite a time, as I recall.

*He winks at Megan.*

Say, since she is about, as well as Ingress, Sunny, and Gavroche, and the other mobile children in the bar, I've been charged to deal with an evil puppet menace. Apparently, there are puppet creatures making short work of a goodly number of the bar's patrons.

*He is grinning as he says this, but if the puppets are truly a problem, he will handle it.*

"Oh, I think I've had a run-in with them", Liam says, not noticeably joking. "One of them bit me and Charlie."

Hmmm... clearly they are either evil entities or inanimate objects animated by Dark magic. What did they look like?

"I only saw it very quickly, but it was... a puppet. About yay big, button eyes, black thread face."

*Tom nods, listening carefully*

Right. I want these things taken care of before they hurt one of the children.
