No one can resist the Seth-cute

Seth is in his carrier, making "brrrt! brrrt!" noises. The carrier is on a table and Charlie is at the table, eating lunch and making "brrt! brrt!" noises right back.

Elaine, passing by the table, cannot resist looking into the baby carrier. "Oh, isn't he lovely..." she murmurs.

"Oh, and he knows it," Charlie says cheerfully, and makes Seth wave a fist hello. "This is Seth, and I'm Charlie."

"Good day to you both. I am Elaine." She extends a finger to stroke the tiny fist. "How old is he?"

"Just over two months. Starting to notice things around him and make his opinions known." He beams at Seth, proud papadaddy all over.

Seth's fingers flex at Elaine's touch and he looks at her with big, serious blue eyes.

She beams. "Every age of children is wonderful, but I think I've always liked this age...everything is so new."

Richard wanders over with a babysling around his neck.

"Hello, Charlie, and Seth. Got someone you need to meet."

"Hey--hey! Who's this little one?" Charlie stands up to look at the contents of the baby sling.

Seth boggles. He does that.

He unclips the babysling and pushes the fabric back.

"I'd like you to meet Joshua Mayhew. He's my son."

Richard is beaming enough to light all of Scotland. Joshua yawns and hiccups.

"He's beautiful," Charlie says softly, and takes Seth out of his carrier so he can see the brand-new baby.

Seth continues boggling. What!? Another baby? Who authorized this? He turns his head into Charlie's neck.

"So the adoption came through, did it?"

"He's so much bigger than little Joshua - but then, little Joshua is all new, and he's, what, two and a half months old?"

Asar-Suti comes by, not averse to making 'brrt-brrt' noises (or even sillier) at a baby as well.

"Oh, haven't you heard of him yet? He's Richard's and Armand's; Loki gave him to them. He is tiny tiny tiny - a met him yesterday; Richard had him with him when he did his breakfast shift."

Asar-Suti touches Seth's little nose, and smiles into the baby's eyes.

"Little Joshua's got a very strong grip already, too - he's a miracle, just like this one. Claire told me about Joshua, actually."

"I haven't," Charlie says because his typist wills it so. "I'll have to soon. God. Richard and Armand with a baby." He plays with Seth's hand, smiling as Seth smiles.

Ron's Seth senses! Tingling!

He turned from where he was sitting at a table, broke into a grin and walked over, a small smile on his face.

"Hey midget," he said to Seth, giving him a mini shake of the hand. The Charlie he said, "Hullo, Charlie."

"Hey, Ron." He grins at him. "All right?"

"Surprisingly enough, yeah," Ron said, sitting down and making noises right back at Seth. "Beeblebeeblebeebleblortbrrt."

Seth's fine eyebrows rise. He can speak! "Brrt brrt brrt!"

Hullo, Charlie. How are you?

*He smiles down at Seth.*

He's grown since I last saw him.

"Hi," he says warmly. "It's been a while, hasn't it. He's getting to be quite a chubby little muffin.

"I'm going pretty good. Did I tell you that Bartleby's returned? I can't recall."

It's been far too long since we last spoke, Charlie. I apologize for that. London Below keeps me busier than I'd thought possible.

Wandering past the table, Danny notices the baby, and immediately gravitates towards it, peering into the carrier and grinning.

"This is one cute kid. He yours?"

"Yup," Charlie says proudly. "This is Seth."

"Arrrrrzsch," Seth announces.

"Heh." Danny smiles down at the baby for another moment before looking back up at Charlie. "Great to meet you. Danny Taylor, by the way." He holds out a hand.
