The door doesn't open, it disappears, revealing blackness beyond. Some sort of long, dark tunnel.

Anyone looking out into the tunnel may believe that they can see a light in the distance. A light that grows bigger and brighter at breakneck speed. The light of the end of that tunnel is indeed an oncoming train.

Luckily, though, when that train comes closer, it is in fact Dinah, who hurtles into the bar and just about manages to bring herself into a spin and stop without falling over or knocking any tables or chairs over.

"Well, that was unexpected."

She pats down her tiny little blue gingham skirt with the air of someone dusting off breadcrumbs, and adjusts her little white lacey hair piece as she scans the bar, a smile lighting up her face.

When he eyes fall on the door, her smile positively gleams.

"Ain't that a turn up for the books," she adds to herself, satisfied.

Dinah is back in the bar. Who wants to welcome her back?

Bernard's in the bar, at Bar but not behind her, so don't ask him for a drink.

Coffee.

Washington Post.

Not a bad mood.

[ooc: Closed to new threads. Back late tonight. @_@]

Dinah's in the bar, getting ready to serve breakfast, when she sees it.

The door.

Instead of writing up the breakfast specials, she just stands behind the bar, staring straight at the door which she would swear wasn't there a minute ago.

She might serve you if you prodded her or something.

Dinah was a bit overwhelmed by the number of new faces that appeared in the bar overnight, and she's looking forward to meeting them. For once, there's no need to clear up the mess from happy hour last niht, so she just clears the bar and writes up the:

Dinah's seen a lot of things in her life as a dining car. Including a birth in the missle of the carriage, once.

It's still a rare enough event that she's thinking about Aeryn's delivery last night as she sets up the bar for breakfast.

"What can I getya?"

Before her first shift, Dinah's been busying herself behind the Bar and in the kitchen, acquainting herself with all the rats and the mechanics of the place. It was a surprise to discover the bar was magical for one.

Taking it in her stride, or glide as the case maybe, she writes the following up on the specials board:

Breakfast Specials
Fluffy buttermilk pancakes with blueberries
Scrambled egg with bacon and toast
Half Grapefruit

And stands behind the spotlessly clean bar, bright smile in place.

"What'll you have?"

Dinah is in the bar.

Not a lot to add to that really.
[identity profile] vanwithaman.livejournal.com
And once again there is a dining car.

Dinah's finally got a little bored with just standing around, so she's occupying herself by clearing empty glasses from tables. Not that the wait rats aren't doing a good job or anything, but really, in a bar, if you don't eat or drink, what else is there to do?
[identity profile] vanwithaman.livejournal.com
There's a Dining Car in the bar. Again Still.

She's standing by the Bar, watching people. But what she really wants to do is talk.
[identity profile] vanwithaman.livejournal.com
There's a dining car in the bar, still.

It's fairly easy to get bored if you need neither sleep nor food. She'd love to talk to someone to take her mind off things.
