Happy New All Skate!
"You know what, let's have a party."
Dinah threw her platinum card (thanks, Oracle) on the Bar and as a result there is free flowing champagne for everyone whose culture, age and religion permits champagne - and top quality soft alternatives for the rest. There are bar snacks doing the rounds around the tables, and delicate winter flower arrangements on each surface.
And most importantly, on the TV screen is a lot of dancing, a giant countdown, and a big ball ready to drop.
...and when the ball drops, something happens.
Welcome to another Milliways All-Skate!
All welcome - yes, that means all. Whether they're retired, deleted, AU, original or already being played by someone else, bring 'em along.
Usual all-skate rules apply:
1. Everyone's stressed out of their mind right now, so have fun!
2. Communication is key.
3. Gratuitous behaviour (either of a violent or sexual nature) will not be tolerated in the bar proper. Take that to an OOM, and then Content Warning the hell out of it before you link it.
4. Much like Vegas, what happens in All Skates, stays in All Skates (in most cases)
5. Please don't be a dick.

The grown man - not a Jedi anymore, not really, and definitely not a soldier - pushes his hood back when he enters the bar, revealing a very familiar face and a similarly familiar expression of tired relief at finding somewhere safe and known.
He carries no visible weapons - but don't be fooled as his lightsaber and blaster are hidding under his robes, and walks with the steady pace of someone in no hurry at all as he approaches the Bar.
Time for a drink.

After taking a swig of her beer, she leans with her back to the bar in a comfortable relaxed slouch, elbows bracing her weight. In her comfortable stretch, the Amazonian soldier just looks out over the crowd and indulges in the warm feeling of hope for the future and the excitement of the now.

The short little man waddling by with umbrella in one hand and flute of champagne in the other is making merry. The bar's quaint, he decides, as nicely as he can phrase it, but the booze is good and free. Why not indulge? Hardly the first time he's found himself slumming it with lesser folk. Not like he hasn't been in prison, kept separate from the common rabble but being close enough to hear them howl in their cells.

Selina radiates power and wealth as she eats from a plate of sushi. At her elbow is a flute of champagne as well, though glittery things float within. There is also a cat-shaped being stalking the sushi that fades in and out of view.

So while she enjoys some time watching the party on TV as the new year (Which year? Does it matter, at the end of the universe?), eventually she will disappear back into the kitchens to get on with the baking.
Rae can be found in either place, whether leaning against the bar with some champagne in the bar room, or in the midst of mixing, baking, and cooling baked goods in the kitchens, the back door left open to the winter evening to attempt and counter-balance the radiant heat of the ovens.

He has a huge sword on his back.
"This smells good," he declares, leaning in the kitchen door.

Does BD-1 want a hand getting up to the bar top? Because if he does there's a hand extending from a calico sleeve, palm up and level with the ground. The hand is attached to a face that smiles warmly out from the pushed back hood.

"Look, it's not my first time drinking alcohol. I have a case of wine in one of my safe houses back home. Just one glass, that's all I want."
A feline-shaped being of ink and watercolor that fades in and out of vision, Cat merely perches on Selina's shoulder amused.

The day was going so well and now this...
For the multiverse has declared that Alec is allergic to cats. And that includes anything cat shaped, no matter what they really are. A spirit demon thing that looks like a cat and goes by 'Cat' is prime allergy material.

He has one eye on it as he sips his champagne. The effect is somewhat like a very wary wild animal who's poised to spring away.
Having come in from a rather staid JSDF New Years Party in his own world, he's in his dark blue dress uniform, with his digivice clipped onto his belt and the Chosen's Goggles of Leadership hanging loosely around his neck. Truth be told, the Milliways party is the far preferable of the two, so maybe he can just get drunk here and make a speedy exit when he gets back.

But he's not your average clown. He breaks the mold even for the specific type of clown that he is. Greenish-brown hair, bleached white skin, eyes as blue as summer skies, and a dress sense that looks like Haight-Ashbury threw up on a thrift store. Everything is bright, but threadbare, none of his buttons match, and he has a plastic flower for a boutonniere.
He's also got a flute of Champagne, and is enjoying the people watching, avidly reading each person with quick eyes, picking them apart in his mind and telling himself stories about who they might be. Those stories probably do not align at all with reality as you know it, but that's not going to stop him. Aligning with reality has never been one of his particularly well honed life skills.

Ice Dancing AU
Cassian enters wearing a suit and smiles when he enters before glancing back as the door closes. He was on his way to get a refill on his drink at the party celebrating everyone who made it to World's on the Rebel team. Which is good and exciting news but also makes him sad, so he's trying to enjoy his time before it.
He stops to watch the TV and looks around, maybe he can find someone to dance with here.
Re: Ice Dancing AU
"You look a little... sad-py," he notes, then explains, "Which is both happy and sad, but hap-ad just sounds all bad."

Knot successfully undone, she glances around the bar room. There's a crowd tonight; sales will likely be good. The figure in blue and white framed by the back door absolutely does catch the attention, however, despite - or possibly because of - his stillness. Or possibly because of other things, among them his rather lost expression.
"Hello there," Rae says, offering a friendly and not unsympathetic smile. "Welcome to Milliways."
There are worse welcoming committees.

"Something human-safe and warm to drink, please, not too sweet, and nothing that would interfere with sleep, alertness, cognition, coordination, or reaction times."
Bacara doesn't recognize the cloudy brown liquid that appears, served in a bowl, rather than a cup or thermal flask. It steams gently, and it doesn't smell sweet.
He takes a cautious sip.
—acceptable.
(Bar has given Bacara a bowl of miso broth.)
[OOC: Mun's local time is nearing midnight, so please only tag if you're OK with slowtime.]

So when he enters the bar and spots the familiar armour, he grins. He's fought with the 21st a couple of times and recognises Bacara immediately - but did not know he came here, so this si good news.
As he strolls up, it's obvious who and what he is - the familiar face of a cadet, but the robes and braid of a Jedi Padawan - and he doesn't expect not to be recognised.
"Marshall Commander," he greets him cheerfully. "Fancy seeing you here."

He stands to the side of the masked man, slightly forward to ensure that his presence is visible, and joins him in gazing out of the window. His pose suggests 'hands casually in pockets' but he has no pockets in his calico robes, so they hang neutrally to the sides.
"It's a remarkable view," he muses aloud, "the end of the universe."

Eyes and mouth open wide with wonder and excitement, Michael bounces into Millways with glee.
"Oh boy, it's actually here."
Michael does a spin around, giddy as a school girl. His joy only escalates when he realizes that not only has he found the end of the universe, but there's a Party going on as well.
Find him anywhere really; making the rounds with a champagne glass in hand, at the counter asking Bar for samples of all the ridiculous party appetizers he can think of (jalapeño poppers, it turns out, are, in fact, amazing. Thanks Eleanor and Jason!), dancing the night away even if nobody else is, and excitedly counting down the ball drop (when you've saved literally every soul on earth from eternal damnation there's just nothing really left to fear).
[ooc: Michael is in from after Chapter 51-Patty. Everyone should watch The Good Place so, spoilers in white text above and spoiler warnings for threads.]

Age 19 or so
When he finds Milliways, he allows himself a moment to relax, the minds here feel different, other concerns, other species and he moves to get some champagne.
(OOC: Charles is passively listening. If your character has any shields, let me know and please include feelings and thoughts in your narration if Charles would pick them up. Thank you.)

"Oh for fuck's sake why do you have to have such awful timing?" he growls at the multiverse at large. In Russian. Which makes him curse in something not from Earth (but not Eldritch either). The Bar translates, of course, but the words are Russian and that other language in his head.
Looking up to see a Charles who might have been close enough to think Alec was muttering about him, he said/thinking back in that other language, "Sorry. Not you. It's the... multiverse."
There's Alec's surface thoughts, which aren't really shielded, but there's something highly locked up just underneath, lurking. It's like there's an entire iceberg of Something Else in his head that's not having language issues. A telepath of Charles' ability would be able to sense it, but it's well underneath the surface and Charles is smart enough to not Titanic his way into it.

Octavia Blake ↠ The 100
There's a drink in her hand, but she's ignoring it mostly for staring and standing there, letting the tension in her shoulders constantly prick the edge of her thoughts with the fact she's letting the whole room exist behind her, unwatched, against all better instinct and training.
no subject
It's not anywhere near New Years', either back home or in the time period she was in less than three hours ago. But the champagne is freely flowing, and Sara's not one to look free-drinking gift horses in their mouths. She swipes herself a glass, followed shortly by a whole bottle. Already has a half-cocked plan to move on to whiskey from the bar itself once she's toasted across this place's New Year's properly first.
She's got a bright smile and salute, with the bottle, of course,
for anyone's who's gaze she meets in passing.

"You look like you have taste, I need help with the music."
Actually she needs help with the technology - there's a device and it looks computery, and Dinah's had far to much to drink to deal with computers.
